MOSCOW, Nov 8 (PRIME) -- The latest widening of Ukraine’s sanctions to fertilizer producer EuroChem and several its affiliates, like Nevinnomyssky Azot, are groundless as the holding operates in many countries in accordance with legislation of the states, EuroChem representative Vladimir Torin told PRIME on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, Ukraine’s Economic Development and Trade Ministry published a September 19 ruling that bans all economic activities of 25 Russian companies, including EuroChem and affiliates, in the country. The authority also disclosed two rulings dated October 30, in which it imposed similar sanctions on 17 other Russian companies.
“EuroChem and companies of the group operate in more than 100 countries of the world in accordance with national legislation of the region of presence, and we see the restrictions as absolutely groundless. We think that it is wrong when politics interferes with business,” Torin said.
